BBQ With The Roommates

I already anticipated this day. It was two weeks ago I remember, when Merry mentioned about getting a New York cut steak from her boss. Just enough for every body including Mom and Dad.

I'm glad that my parents bought several other stuff besides the meat because Chen Gang turned out to have just picked up two friends that just arrived from China.

BBQ with the roommates

Food food food...

I volunteered to do the BBQ. The weather was nice, but I guess my mom was right. I behaved a little bit rude to my mother once, and then to my sister. My mom suggested that it was probably due to the warm weather, and more I was very close to the BBQ pit. So I became easily irritated. Then, there, my mom's great invention...

A nice day indeed.

Welcome Back, Danny!

Wa.. it did not feel like it has been 3 weeks since he left for Indo. I was happy that Amanda and Jon were willing to join me to welcome Danny back at the SFO airport. I personally was curious to see how much he gained because he mentioned that in his e-mail. I found otherwise though, he looked like he lost much weight. The good thing, he smiled a lot.

Ehem.. what is Jon doing?

On the way home, I stopped by the Cupertino Village, bought some bubble tea for the three of us, and played some Thirteen. First time I had a chance to win the game over Jon.

Then after I arrived home, Jon called me on the yahoo messenger. We played one game of chess. A.. the day that I have to remember, I won over Jon in two different games!

Food Tasting

A... My first food tasting. We attended a church friend's wedding and skipped the reception because Debbie and her parents had an appointment to taste the food that are to be prepared at Silas & Angel's wedding.

Which one would you pick for your main entree:

Salmon

Chicken

Stuffed Game Hen

And the winners are:
* spinach ( instead of regular house salad )
* honey mustard & raspberry ( instead of blue cheese or balsamic dressing )
* game hen

Following the lunch, we visited a store that sold suits and showed the sign 'must close, 50% discount'. The vendor right away knew who to approach: Debbie's dad. Too bad.. we knew what the market price for suits. Plus, Debbie's mom had been trained to notice colour differences between the jacket and the pants.

At Hilton Lobby

Later after we left Hilton, we went to a chinese market to have Debbie's watch altered, and then headed back to Debbie's home.

Had a little rest then we went to the BCD Tofu House at Winchester in Koreatown for dinner. Time passed by so quickly in LA.
