Day 3: Las Vegas

At the Motel

Woke up in the morning, started packing and then discussed about which buffet to go to. I have always wanted to bring Mom and Dad to the Paris Buffet. We chose the Paris over Baleys.

The buffet was good. I actually had some space for desert and the feeling was just right, not over-stuffed.

Then we headed home: Los Angeles. They dropped me off Debbie's place cause I planned to stay there for the following two nights. Debbie was still in the fellowship when we got there. My parents did a little of catching up with Debbie's mom and learned about the "Debbie's Memorial Day". Sympathy over the accident, mixed with Laughter over the Possum story. But at the end, the possum story always sticks out more.

Day 2: Las Vegas

My parents signed me up to sit through a presentation about Timeshare. This was to get free tickets to the Tropicana Folies Bergere. I was a bit excited to finally be able to learn a little bit more about Timeshare. The host was nice, Livi and I was assigned a man, a sales person. I forgot his name, but he explained about the whole thing very well; so well that I was actually considering buying a timeshare at Las Vegas. Anyway, considering the perks and stuff, I called my Dad, discussing the matter over the phone, deciding whether or not to purchase the condo. Thank God I called cause my Dad said that the interest for the loan: 15% was too high and he reminded me that I had no money! hahaha... it was that simple.

So I got out after the 2-hour timeshare presentation, with 5 show tickets. Went back to the Venetian to pick up Mom and Dad, then we headed to the Chinatown to find the place that Hendy mentioned have a good fried chicken. We found the place: Kung Fu Thai Restaurant. It was good chicken, but overall it was Thai restaurant. Always good, always brought appetite.

After lunch, cie cie called, she wanted to join us. So we headed back to Venetian to pick her up, then we started the usual Las Vegas tour. Watching the hotels and oo-aahing the beautiful architecture.

Till 1.5 hour before the show, we went to In&Out to grab a bite. Headed to the Tropicana to watch the show. It was my first (or maybe second) topless show, and it happened to be with my Mom, Dad, and my two sisters. Haha, I guess I'm a grown-up now! The show was meaningless, basically it was targeted toward the audience that worship women's curves. Dad even said that he did not really enjoy the show and almost fell asleep. Guess I'm still normal then.

The day was closed with a late dinner at the Harbor Palace in Chinatown and headed to the motel that cie-cie booked through the internet.

Day 1: Las Vegas

Mom, Dad, and Livi picked me up at the Las Vegas airport, heard more about what happened with them in Singapore. It was the divine appointment with Ie Ie Din that made me grateful to God, my parents going away had some meanings, and it was glorifying God's name! So I wonder how Albert is doing these days.

First Time Golfing

This time I answered yes to Hendy's offer. Together with Hengky, we learned golfing for the first time. The weather was great, he brought me to a driving range up North in Milpitas area: Summitpointe Golf Club. To get there, you take 680N exit Jacklin Rd turn right, then make a left turn on S. Park Victoria, and then right on Country Club Dr. The place was wonderful, I had the sense of being transported away from the busy city.

Pose 2

I found a good handling is to use your right thumb to position where the ball is. So when you swing, you will want your right thumb to pointing to the ball. A.. maybe this does not make sense for pro-golfers, but it worked for me. Fun it was, but I don't think I'm willing to spend 40 dollars every play.

So what do you say? Do I look like golfer? Or Tiger Wood's helper?
